Technology and Society

We can't imagine a life without technology, without cars, cell phones, computers. Technology helps a lot, it makes things faster and with less mistakes.
But, it can do harm too. Like cars, the gas we use for it it's really bad for nature. Then again, technology helps. It can make cars move without gas, using something that's not that harmful.

Technology is, now, faster than ever was. New products are created every month and 20 years ago wasn't like that, it took at least a year to improve the technology on a product. It's a war between all brands, who makes the best and most modern product. Who sells more, who has the more stylish product.

We can see technology in music now too. Not only the beats on songs, but it has been used to change the singer's voice and make it more robotic or something like that. Like Lil' Wayne and T Pain, american hip hop singers (i don't consider them rappers).
Here it's my favorite song with T Pain:

The Lonely Island featuring T Pain - I'm on a Boat

Great video.
Another song by T Pain that I love it's One More Drink, he's featured by Ludacris this time.

Ludacris featuring T Pain - One More Drink

Funny videos.

Now we watch movies that wouldn't be possible to do because there wasn't the technology enough, like Avatar.

For example, let's see the 2010 version of Alice in Wonderland trailer

Release date in Brazil: April, 23th

Now, the 1951 trailer...

Even the technology on trailers is changed.

Final thought: Technologies change the world or the world changes technology?

Just one more video that I want you all to watch... I don't think it has anything to do with technology but it's really awesome and I'll forget to put on here next week or the other...

rafaela off :)

Future Technology

In these images are two new technologies created by Apple that has changed the very concept of cell phone and mp3 and two speculations based on the other two devices.I think that as the two devices already developed by the apple, the other speculations are very creative and useful forday to day, even speculated that these technologies were created with humor, for me already and a great technological advancement.

Images (A Cliché Dilemma)

A Cliché Dilemma

Every time people see a painting in the wall, they usually think if that is vandalism or art. In fact, graffiti can be both. People use graffiti to express their feelings to the entire street or even the city, depending on how majestous the painting is. Some of them use it like vandalism, and others, like art.

Vandalism!

Here it is a good example about Vandalism. In the picture we can see people expressing their feelings by graffit. In most of cases of graffit vandalism it is related to protests in society. We usually see around our city these cases of vandalism when people want to show everybody what they want to contest.

As the name suggests, it is a site about graffitti.

Have fun!

Graffiti

Graffiti can be judged as many things, like art, hobbie, vandalism and such. But, some people make graffiti as a tribute to someone they look up for. Like, in this video clip by Jay Z featuring his wife Beyonce, we can see a tribute for Tupac Shakur, the best rapper that ever lived, in graffiti.

Considering that Jay Z is using Tupac's chorus (from the song Me and My Girlfriend), isn't that impressive that Jay Z showed the graffiti.

Tupac was killed in 1996, at the age of 25 years old. He was an american rapper and released 10 albums, being 5 of them after his death.

Back to the subject - Graffiti. Tupac isn't the only rapper that has tributes on walls, his opponent Notorius B.I.G. (a.k.a. Biggie) has got some too.

I don't really like Biggie though, nor his music. Biggie also died at the age of 25, and he was murdered too, in 1997, one year after Tupac's death.

Anyway, you don't have to be a rapper to have a tribute on a wall. Example, John Lennon, ex beatle.

John Lennon died at the age of 40, murdered by shots (december, 1980), like Biggie and Tupac. Also in New York, but when he died Biggie and Tupac were still kids.

Enough about musicians and their death. Back at graffiti...

Nowadays, graffiti is getting a lot more serious and isn't just something to kill time or express yourself. You can get money from it, there are classes to learn how to do it and all. There is even a website where you can draw things while people from all over the world is doing it too.

http://www.drawball.com/

The website is separeted in two "draw balls". The draw ball one is VIP use only. The draw ball two (http://two.drawball.com/) is for everybody's use. You have to be careful though, the ink isn't infinite.

I think I already typed too much and i want to go watch Vampire Diaries, so... That's it, see you next week.
