Odd shoes!!!

I could tell you 100 embarrassing situations I've experienced, but it would take you forever to read them, so...

When I was about 23, I had a job enterview at the company where my mum used to work. I had arranged to meet the person I was supposed to talk to at 9AM. And since my mum was going to the same place some time before, I decided to take a ride with her.

She got to work at about 8AM. So she woke me up at something past 7.

I was very sleepy and stayed in bed just for a feeeeeeew more minutes. But... those minutes became half an hour and she stormed into my bedroom literally pushing me up and helping me grab my stuff, like my bag and so. I got dressed in a flash and picked up my shoes to wear in the car.

Well, I was still a bit sleepy but I managed to get ready until we got to the gate of the company, where she dropped me. I talked to the guard in charge, giving him my ID and telling him who I should see there. He asked me to sit on a bench near the person's office and wait because this person hadn't arrived yet.

When I leaned my body in order to sit, I looked at my feet and I noticed that I was wearing two different coloured shoes!!!! I used to have two identical, except for the colour, pairs of shoes: one black, one brown. I couldn't believe my eyes.

How come I did such a thing in a job interview. Well, I counted on the fact that the interviewer in sitting behind a desk and won't have much time to pay so close attention to my feet. That's what happened!!!

After the interview, I had to go back home, but I had no money. I called my mum, but she wasn't there. So I had go home walking and wearing different coloured shoes.

The Most Embarrassing Situation

Well, I must have been about 10 when my older sister got a terrible cold. So my mom decided to go to a drugstore and buy some medicine. She asked me to go with her. It was Sunday afternoon and I was still wearing pajama and watching TV like a little couch potato. So I told her that I wouldn’t go because I would have to change my clothes. She said that we would go by car and it wasn’t necessary to enter at the store.
Anyway, when my mom entered at the store, I realized that she had forgotten her wallet. So I decided to go there and give her the wallet. The moment I arrived there I listened people laughing and saying how beautiful that bear was. Guess what??? The bear was on my pajamas! I was at the drugstore wearing pajamas!

Are you ready to have children?

The sleepover test

Invite four or five children to spend a day with you in your house. Try making them eat healthy food at lunch and dinner, behave well and help you organize the mess that they made. Finally, give them a shower and try making them go to bed early. Now image you doing this every single day.

The dogs test

Borrow two or three dogs and take them with you as you walk in the beach without collars. Try to always keep them in sight, run after them and shout if it is necessary, and enjoy the moment at same time.

Testing parents!!

Well, I should have posted my tests before but I was up to my eyes in work.

Still in time, I am here to remind you of our first task on the Blog: tests for future parents!!

My first test is for both men and women:

Get a CD-R and record 37 times the ABC song, then play it on the CD player as loud as possible!
Turn on the TV on your favourite programme and try to pay attention to it without turning it off or getting angry. If you manage to bear thar, ask anyone in your house to start screaming and running in front of the TV.

My second test requires a farm with chickens:

If want to be sure that you can handle kids in a toy store or in any place they may get wild, set eight chicken free in the back yard and try to catch them before they get lost or make any kind of mess. You'll see if you are fit for running after and controlling your future kids.

Major Problem Among Teens

One of the biggest problems among teens are durgs. Some teenagers get in the world of drugs because of too much pressure by their parents, or they think their lifes suck anyway so it won't matter (like Kurt Cobain, even though he wasn't a teen when he started using drugs). These teens normally start with ciggarrets and alcohol, then marijuana, until then it's ok, even being really bad for you and illegal. But some don't stop there. It isn't a big number, but some go far to crack, meth or cocaine. That's one of the things that most worries parents.

That's not the only problem drugs can cause. Some teenagers use durgs just cause it's illegal and it will make them look "bad" or something like that. Those teenagers don't stop at ciggarrets and alcohol. Those drugs, at some point, will have no effect at them. Or, he's too old for just using those, so he starts using others. And some more. And that can get them an overdose, that's the biggest drug problem, because it can get you killed.

But, it isn't everyone that uses durgs that get an OD and die. The Beatles used drugs. And that's what made their music change, and it got better!

Throwing a Fit

I really don't remember the last tima a threw a fit, but I saw one these days. There is a odental boy who smokes 40 cigars every day, and when he doesn't smokes, he starts to throw a fit, because he needs nicotine to stay calm.

Throwing a fit

People usually throw a fit when something really makes their blood boil so they simply lose the control.
The last time a I thrown a fit was when I received my Math test. I had studied so hard, but inthe end it didn't even matter: I got a bad mark. It really irritated me so I took the test, kneaded it and thrown in a garbage can. However, after thinking about it I realized how stupid I was. I decided to catch back my test.
The moral leson from this story is that sometimes we won't be recompensed for our effort, but we shoudn't be irritade or upset about it because that's the way life is.

Throw a Fit

I don't remember the actual last fit i threw, it was probably unnecessary, you know how girls are... Anyway, I'll tell the last fit I remember throwing.
It was a wednesday and Flamengo had just won the game against Universidad de Chile. Even though they won, the team got eliminated of Libertadores because of the week before game they lost.
The reason I threw a fit was because the second game was amazing, everybody played without giving up and Bruno made some awesome defenses, Juan's goal was beautiful. It wasn't the player's fault (specially in the second game), for me it was the coach's fault.
Anyway, I cried, screamed, shouted, cursed a lot. I even broke a glass, but it was when Juan scored and I was happy, it wasn't on purpose.
The worst thing is that they only had one more goal to do! Since the first game was 3x2, they'd have won if the game was 3x1 instead of 2x1. They just needed one more! Just one!!

As I told you, my dear students, there is a real story behind that writing 'puzzle' I gave you some classes ago.

My dear students!!

I am sure you will miss our classes a lot but I need to inform you that we won't have classes tomorrow, since our major asked all the private schools to suspend classes till next Monday.

Future of Technology!

The technology is something that we all need in our lifes. Nowadays , noone can say "I can live without it". If you need to wake up to work early, How could you do that without an alarm clock? If you work on the center of your town, Will you walk untill there? Probably you will take your car and drive, won't you? These are good examples about how you need technology with you.

We can see 3 types of televisions, the first one that was developed in 1924.
How things change.. Currently, we have got the best Television which we have acess, the plasma HD full with the best quality of image we have seen.
In a near future, we will be able to handle with that huge television that we can touch and select the program we want to watch by touching! Amazing.. (The last picture of televisions)










It is not all about Televisions.. We can also see an example about car:
In 2043, scientists say that it will be a safer, lively, quieter than before.







In the end, we can basicaly say we can not live without technology. Technology is a good thing, make us more happy, confortable, facilitated. On the other hand, it brings us some collateral effects as Greenhouse for example. It comes because of the huge amount of CO2 that is released into the atimosfera. Excess of smoke released by cars is a reason of the amount of CO2. A consequence is the melting of the glaciers that we usually hear around.
There are two sides of the Technology currently, as said before.. In the future, the new advances will bring us better things than worse things? This is something without answer.. Just the time will tell us.

Technology and Society

We can't imagine a life without technology, without cars, cell phones, computers. Technology helps a lot, it makes things faster and with less mistakes.
But, it can do harm too. Like cars, the gas we use for it it's really bad for nature. Then again, technology helps. It can make cars move without gas, using something that's not that harmful.

Technology is, now, faster than ever was. New products are created every month and 20 years ago wasn't like that, it took at least a year to improve the technology on a product. It's a war between all brands, who makes the best and most modern product. Who sells more, who has the more stylish product.

We can see technology in music now too. Not only the beats on songs, but it has been used to change the singer's voice and make it more robotic or something like that. Like Lil' Wayne and T Pain, american hip hop singers (i don't consider them rappers).
